Today we completed the final phase of rdcAviation’s passenger forecasting website. www.routepro.net is a subscription only website used by many airlines and airports to estimate the viability of airline routes. The forecasting module is particularly complex, passenger number are estimated by mining the previous yearly passenger data. And as you can imagine the world wide airline passenger database is huge.
The hard number crunching is done by the SQL Server database that sits behind the website. The result can then be presented on screen, exported to excel or added to a pdf.
